Our Story Begins in the forests of origin.
Sofiya Coffee was born where Arabica itself was born—beneath the ancient, rain-washed canopy of Ethiopia’s southern highlands. We are exporters, but before that, we are guardians of a heritage defined by altitude, soil, mist, and people who have grown coffee long before history decided to record it.

Built on relationships. Grounded in precision.
Our work starts long before export documents and shipping containers. It begins on the ground—with farmers, cooperatives, and smallholder communities across Guji, Yirgacheffe, Sidamo, and Kaffa.
We walk the farms. We cup at origin. We track lots from picking to drying to milling, ensuring that every batch tells the truth of its landscape. Whether washed, natural, or honey-processed, our coffees carry the clarity of traceable work and the depth of heirloom varietals grown at altitude.
What guides us.
Origin Integrity
Every lot we export is handled with full traceability—from the plot it grew on to the hands that processed it. No shortcuts.
Precision & Preparation
From raised African beds to moisture control to clean milling—quality isn’t inspected at the end; it’s built into every step.
Global Standards
We work to meet the cupping, grading, export, and logistics standards demanded by international specialty buyers and roasters.
A team shaped by the land we come from.
Sofiya Coffee is a collaboration of farmers, agronomists, cuppers, quality graders, and exporters who have lived their entire lives inside Ethiopia’s coffee-producing regions. We bridge tradition with modern export standards, bringing the story of origin into the hands of roasters worldwide.
This is more than coffee. It is heritage, livelihood, and the forest’s own quiet language — shared with the world, one shipment at a time.
